Jeremy Hunt MP with Bob Mitchell – Chairman of Delta Controls Ltd.
Jeremy Hunt, the MP for South West Surrey visited Delta Controls who are headquartered in Farnham and who design, manufacture and supply specialist instrumentation to the power and process industries.
Delta had invited Jeremy to their factory to see where they build the products that are made for the civil nuclear power industry.
Delta makes a range of products including pressure and temperature instruments that are used in the safety systems of nuclear power stations and which are exported around the world.
Delta also showed their MP the assembly of their EMPHASIS Assessed Gas Flow Transmitters that have been developed with EDF for the Sizewell station in Suffolk.
One of the main points of discussion was the new nuclear power stations planned for the UK. Delta encouraged the UK Government to use British products rather than an imported supply chain that often means higher prices and lower security of supply.
Delta Controls has been designing and manufacturing instrumentation for the power and oil and gas industries for over 65 years and is one of the leading names in safety and control products.
