Generating energy requires the use of diverse resources, and effectively managing these resources involves careful process control. Process instrumentation plays an essential role3 in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of this industry, providing the tools needed for monitoring, control, and optimisation across the entire energy production and distribution process.

Power Generation

We have been designing and manufacturing instrumentation for the power and process industries from the start and have been serving the power industry since the early modern power stations were built in the UK. We were also there at the start of the nuclear age being specified on the first nuclear reactors that were designed and built by the UKAEA. As a specialist in pressure, temperature and flow sensors, we provide a range of generic and bespoke instruments to the industry across modern coal, oil and gas fired boilers, and the entire nuclear fleet including Magnox, AGR, PWR and DFR and PFR.

Hydrastep steam and water interface level measurement for steam drum and boiler safety.  Hydratect for the detection of water in steam, ideal for turbine protection (TWIP).
