Subject: Non-Genuine manufactured parts being used with OEM Products
A. Products Affected
All Hydrastep and Hydratect electronic gauging system models within United Kingdom & EU. Refer to ANNEXE A & ANNEXE B for graphical representation of the components and system..
B. Reasons for Bulletin
To advise operators and service technicians that the use of Non-OEM Manufactured parts – specifically Electrodes – within a Hydrastep or Hydratect system will invalidate the PED and SIL Certification of that system.

D. Description
Delta Mobrey UKCA, CE, PED and SIL2 certification is only applicable to a complete OEM system that has been fully tested with an OEM controller. This includes cables, water column and electrodes assembled as a system.
The certification IES/CAT0000530347-B1, PED2014/68/EU and SIL-IEC 61508 will be void, in the event of a Non-OEM component, being introduced to the electronic gauging system.
The use of non-OEM components can have an adverse effect on the lifecycle of the other components and can cause faults, trips and give erroneous readings when in operation.
E. Implementation
Operators and service technicians must ensure that only OEM manufactured components and electrodes are fitted and used with the OEM product to maintain compliance with all applicable certifications of the complete system.
Any Non-OEM electrodes or components currently in use should be replaced at the next service interval – or as soon as practicable – to restore CE, PED, and SIL certification to the full system.
