Delta Controls provides controls to satisfy Potable Water demand in Qatar by FIFA 2022 World Championship

Delta chosen to supply control instrumentation for Emergency Tank Filler Stations

After a long engineering process and procurement phase, Delta Controls secured an order for some 100 instruments with adjustable dead band and Isolate and Vent 2 ways manifolds to control filling pumps of Emergency Tank Filler Stations in 17 Water Reservoirs and Pumping Stations all around Qatar.

Owner of these stations is KAHRAMAA, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation.

KAHRAMAA is developing the main water transmission network, as efforts are exerted to reduce water loss through the replacement of old and ageing pipelines.

Production capacity of potable desalinated water in Qatar increased by some 50% in 3 years and is still under significant development.

Main water network increased 4 times up to some 5,000 km in the last 15 years.

Total investment in water sector during the same period valued USD 6 Bn.

At the same time, other water projects are being executed including the construction of reservoirs in many existing stations, in addition to current plans for the construction of more water stations to meet the growing demand.

There are 22 water Reservoirs and Pumping Stations all over Qatar.

With project named GTC-524, KAHRAMAA contracted to TECTON the upgrade of 17 Water Reservoir and Pumping Stations.

The Job includes installation of 38 Diesel Generators, Solar Power street lighting works, upgrade of instrumentation and control system, installation of new pipe lines, Tanker filling stations and Emergency Tanker pumping Stations.

• Manifolds in 316L SS suitable for NACE applications
