Delta Controls is pleased to announce that our model 2HT Pressure Transmitter is now available for use in Zone 1 Hazardous Areas in Brazil.
Brazil’s INMETRO (Institute of Metrology, Standardisation and Industrial Quality) is the government body responsible for the implementation of measurement, safety and quality standards for electrical and electronic products. It guides the activities of accreditation, inspection, testing and certification bodies in the country. Our 2HT pressure transmitter has been certified by TUV, a global provider of certification services, and now carries the INMETRO/TUV certification mark.
INMETRO Certification permits us access to a BRIC country notably recognised for leapfrogging the UK in 2012 as the sixth largest global economy with a GDP of £1.6trillion(1).
With a 1.81% year-on-year industry growth, as at June 2013(2), Brazil’s petrochemical and chemical industries are the third largest sector of the country’s enormous manufacturing base(3). Additionally, non-OPEC Brazil’s oil fields including Lula, Iracema and Franco are forecast to boost crude output above 4million barrels per day by 2020(4) with further exploration due to commence soon.
Delta’s model 2HT with it’s compact, robust, all stainless steel construction, and now with its INMETRO certification, makes it particularly suitable for supporting these large and growing markets.
