Delta Mobrey has been supplying the nuclear industry for over 65 years. Since the first commercial nuclear reactor in the UK, Calder Hall, all nuclear power plants in the UK have had Delta Mobrey instrumentation.

Our involvement now spans globally. Over 60 reactors in China use Delta Mobrey nuclear instrumentation, and we support over 100 worldwide. Nuclear continues to offer commercial levels of power and is viewed as an essential part of the energy mix, helping to meet clean energy targets.

As nuclear technology adapts, we continue to support it, whether it is rejuvenating existing sites or future technology. These include small modular reactors (SMRs) and advanced modular reactors (AMRs).

Our Nuclear Timeline

UK: 1956–Ongoing

For over 65 years, Delta Mobrey has been involved in major nuclear programmes worldwide. Our instruments were specifically used in the first commercial nuclear reactors built in the UK. Today, we have installed instrumentation in every UK reactor type. Delta Mobrey is supporting the UK’s reactor life extension programmes with new and upgraded instruments, including support of the complete fuel manufacturing and reprocessing cycle.

North America: 1995

Supplying differential pressure switches to the nuclear power plants working on CANDU reactor technology in Canada.

Europe: 1990s–Ongoing

We have provided several differential pressure and temperature switches for over 30 years. Installed in the reactor containment, they monitor the HECB/LOCA event in all the current operational power plants in Sweden. Two major nuclear power plants are also supplied by Delta Mobrey in Finland.

Asia: 1995–Ongoing

Delta Mobrey has provided instrumentation to the first nuclear power plant in China, and to all new nuclear power plants since. This includes the new indigenous Hualong reactors. Pressure and temperature switches and transmitters are supplied for five nuclear power plants in South Korea. The Hualong reactors in Pakistan also make use of Delta Mobrey process instrumentation.
